Patterson returns to Steelheads

Boise, Idaho – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced that the Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Gaelan Patterson.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

The 23-year-old Patterson appeared 68 games with Idaho last season, notching a professional career high in goals (10). He was particularly good down the stretch and into the postseason for the Steelheads, leading the team in plus/minus rating after February 1 (+11) and finishing second on the team in postseason scoring (eight points). He assisted on the game-winning goal in Idaho’s four-overtime win over Colorado to end opening round of the playoffs and then came back with the OT game-winning goal in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals two days later.
