Philadelphia assigns Lamarche to Jackals

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The
Elmira Jackals announced that rookie defenseman Maxim Lamarche has been reassigned to the club by the National Hockey League’s Philadelphia Flyers from Adirondack of the American Hockey League.

Lamarche, 21, began the season with the AHL Phantoms but has yet to make his professional debut. He is a 6-3, 215-pound defenseman out of Baie-Comeau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In his final season last year Lamarche led the Drakkar with 43 points (9g-34a) and was third on the team with a +31 rating. He then went on to notch 11 points (3g-8a) in the playoffs to lead Baie-Comeau all the way to the QMJHL President’s Cup final before bowing out to eventual Memorial Cup champion Halifax.
