PHPA auctioning captain and All-Star jerseys

For a limited time, the Professional Hockey Players’ Association is auctioning nine All-Star jerseys from the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game, as well as 10 ECHL Team Captain sweaters from the 2012-13 season. All proceeds from the auction support player programs offered to PHPA Members and their families.

Hosted by the Colorado Eagles, the 20th ECHL All-Star Game was played in front of 5,289 fans at the Budweiser Event Center on Jan. 23, 2013, and was available live in more than 15 million homes. Six different players recorded 2 points each for the ECHL All-Stars, who took the 7-3 victory over the Eagles.

Showcasing some of the top prospects in the Premier ‘AA’ Hockey League, the ECHL All-Star game has produced more than 50 players who have gone on to play in the NHL, including 39 since 2002 when the format was changed to feature younger players.
