Pochiro set to make pro debut with K-Wings

Kalamazoo, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings announced that they have signed rookie forward Zach Pochiro.

The K-Wings are the ECHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Wolves and Utica Comets of the American Hockey League.

After being selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round (112th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Pochiro participated in the Blues training camp at the start of this season.

Following training camp, Pochiro returned to the Western Hockey League where he recorded 66 points (27g-39a) and added 123 penalty minutes in 63 games with Prince George. In two seasons with the Cougars, Pochiro has amassed 105 points (42g-63a) in 128 games.

Pochiro started his junior career during the 2011-12 season with the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the North American Hockey League.
