Rangers Reassign Holt From Charlotte To Hartford
Checkers Receive Westlund From Wolf Pack

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League have reassigned goaltender Chris Holt to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League. The Checkers also announced that goaltender Alex Westlund has been reassigned from Hartford to Charlotte.

Charlotte is the ECHL affiliate of the Rangers of the NHL and the Wolf Pack of the AHL.

Under AHL contract to Hartford, the 31-year-old Westlund is 1-1-0 with goals-against average of 1.87 and a save percentage of .938 in four games with the Wolf Pack and 11-5-1 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.86 and a save percentage of .913 in 18 games with Charlotte.

Selected in the sixth round (180th overall) by New York in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Rangers, the 21-year-old Holt is 21-18-2 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 3.26 and a save percentage of .895 in 42 games with Charlotte.
