READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that they have signed center Malcolm MacMillan and forward Brendan Cook.
The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.
The 23-year-old MacMillan played for Port Huron in the United Hockey League in 2004-05 where he had 36 points (10g-26a) and 117 penalty minutes in 80 games. MacMillan played in the ECHL in his first professional season, registering four points (3g-1a) and 42 penalty minutes in 12 games with Pee Dee, five assists and 96 penalty minutes in 34 games with Peoria and five assists and 38 penalty minutes in 15 games with Cincinnati.
The 22-year-old Cook played four years at Bemidji State University where he had 102 points (55g-47a) in 136 games, including 40 points (20g-20a) in 36 games in 2004-05.
