PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced on Thursday that it has signed a three-year agreement with River City Sports. The #1 Name In Hockey Merchandise, River City Sports will develop and operate the online merchandise store for the ECHL and its 30 member teams.

Under the agreement, fans will have access to a broad selection of ECHL licensed products, including official league merchandise and team jerseys which can be personalized with the name and number of any ECHL player or the customer’s own name and number. Under the direction of the ECHL, River City Sports will be responsible for web site development, merchandise, customer service, orders, garment decoration and product fulfillment.

The ECHL web site has seen its page impressions increase by more than 67 percent and its user sessions increase more than 70 percent in 2004 while unique visitors to the web site are up by more than 52 percent. In 2004 there have been over 462,000 unique visitors who have visited ECHL.com in over 1.6 million user sessions, resulting in six million page impressions. The ECHL web site saw its page impressions, average page impressions and user sessions for April double from last year while unique visitors were up more than 80 percent for the month.
