Road Warriors add Pitt, Hince

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that the team has signed forward Scott Pitt and goalie Bryan Hince for the 2012-13 season.

Pitt, a native of Ottawa Ontario, comes to Greenville after just completing a Kelly Cup run with the Florida Everblades. He was Florida’s second leading scorer last season, putting up 58 points (22g-36a) in 63 games. In eight playoff games during the Everblades’ championship run, Pitt totaled a goal and two assists for the team. Before turning pro, Pitt spent four seasons playing college hockey at Mercyhurst College, where he put up 132 points (47g-85a) points in 156 games.

Hince rejoins the Road Warriors having spent a month with the team last season. Hince signed with the Road Warriors in December after posting a 16-1 record in the Southern Professional Hockey League. He was unbeaten in the five games he started with the Road Warriors, tallying a 5-0 record, a 1.59 goals-against average, and a .940 save percentage. In January, Hince was traded to the Idaho Steelheads, where he spent the rest of the season, earning ECHL Goalie of the Week honors the last week of the regular season.
