GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that, along with the Greenville Area Mary Kay Independent Sales Force, they will host their inaugural "Pink in the Rink" event when they take on the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday, Jan. 21 at 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center. During the game, in an effort to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer, the Road Warriors will wear pink-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off via silent auction during the game. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Mary Kay Foundation.
In addition to proceeds from the jersey auction, the Road Warriors will donate a portion of the proceeds from game tickets purchased in advance from local Mary Kay sales representatives to the foundation, and one dollar from every full-value, face-value ticket purchased at the BI-LO Center box office on the day of the game will be donated to the Mary Kay Foundation. Proceeds from the night’s chuck-a-puck game will also be donated so be sure to visit the chuck-a-puck table.
On top of the fund raising efforts, the Road Warriors plan to honor local breast cancer survivors and representatives from a local shelter during a ceremony at intermission. During intermission you will see Mary Kay Corporate Cars drive onto the ice and two will be displayed on the BI-LO Center concourse, and an information table will be set up on the concourse so fans can get more information on the Mary Kay Products and Mary Kay Foundation.
