Road Warriors re-sign Vaive

Greenville, S.C. – The Greenville Road Warriors, ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced the re-signing of forward Justin Vaive.

Vaive skated in 13 regular-season games with the Road Warriors last season while splitting the year with the Hartford Wolf Pack. In his brief stint with Greenville, the forward posted 18 points (10g-8a) and 20 penalty minutes. Vaive also played in 13 postseason games with Road Warriors, scoring 11 points (6g-5a). The Buffalo, N.Y. native dressed in 27 games with Hartford tallying five points (1g-4a).

A fourth-round selection (92nd overall) of the Anaheim Ducks in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Vaive has tallied 40 points (18g-22a) in 58 career ECHL games with Greenville and Cincinnati while adding nine points (3g-6a) in 69 career American Hockey League games with San Antonio and Hartford.

Prior to turning pro, the 25-year-old skated four seasons at Miami University, notching 46 points (23g-23a) in 160 career games.
