Road Warriors sign Hanson; Klassen loaned to Hartford

Greenville, S.C. – The
Greenville Road Warriors announced the team has signed forward Gregor Hanson and has loaned defenseman Sam Klassen to Hartford of the American Hockey League.

The Road Warriors are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Hartford Wolf Pack and Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

Hansen, 25, tallied 44 points (21g-23a) in 44 games with Wichita of the Central Hockey League last season. Hansen helped lead the Thunder to the President’s Cup Finals with 13 points (7g-6a) in 14 playoff games. The Lidingo, Sweden native is a graduate from Northern Michigan University where he recorded 112 points (40g-72a) in 161 career games.

Klassen returns to Hartford where he spent most of the last two years. The Watrous, Saskatchewan native has registered nine points (1g-8a) and 65 penalty minutes in 114 career games with the Wolf Pack/Connectict Whale. He has also seen action in 90 games with the Road Warriors, tallying four goals and adding 19 assists.
