RoadRunners Agree To Terms
With Rookies Clark, McEwan

PHOENIX – The Phoenix RoadRunners announced that they have agreed to terms with rookie forwards Wes Clark and James McEwan.

The RoadRunners are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League. The head coach of Worcester is Roy Sommer, who led Richmond to the Riley Cup championship in 1995 and was named ECHL Coach of the Year in 1995-96 after leading Richmond to the Brabham Cup title with a league-record 105 points.The assistant coach for Worcester is former ECHL player David Cuniff and the equipment manager is Vinny Ferraiuolo, who worked in the ECHL.

The 25-year-old Clark played the last four seasons at the University of Maine where he had 41 points (20g-21a) in 83 games including career bests in 2007-08 when he had 10 goals and a team-leading 21 points in 30 games.

The 21-year-old McEwan played the last four years in the Western Hockey League where he had 17 points (7g-10a) and 540 penalty minutes in 208 games with Kelowna and Seattle.
