PHOENIX – The Phoenix Roadrunners of the ECHL announced that they will host “Hockey Night In Phoenix” on April 19 with the proceeds from the game benefiting local youth hockey associations.
The exhibition game at America West Arena will feature some of the world’s best professional hockey players including Sean Burke, Brad May and Luc Robitaille.
The game begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $25 for lower-level reserved seats. “Hockey Night In Phoenix” tickets can be purchased at any Ticketmaster outlet, at the America West Arena box office or by telephone at (480) 784-4444.
Each fan will receive a Roadrunners T-shirt and representatives will be available to discuss Roadrunners season ticket opportunities.
“I’m grateful to the many friends that I have in professional hockey who have agreed to lace up their skates and play,” said Roadrunners president Claude Lemieux, who made the announcement at a press conference on Friday, accompanied by Burke and May. “This will be a great way to reintroduce professional hockey to downtown Phoenix, in advance of our season opener in October.”
In addition to Burke, May and Robitaille, the list of players for the game includes Jason Arnott, Todd Bertuzzi, Craig Conroy, J.J. Daigneault, Robert Esche, Claude Lemieux, Brendan Morrow, Mark Recchi, Gary Roberts, Luc Robitaille, Brian Savage, Mike Sillinger and Ryan Smyth.
