RoadRunners Raise $75,811 For Charity

PHOENIX – The Phoenix RoadRunners announced that they donated $75,811 in cash, tickets and memorabilia to local non-profit organizations throughout Arizona in 2006-07.

Phoenix has now raised $208,470 for charity in its first two ECHL seasons.

Highlighting the fundraising efforts was the inaugural “Face-Off Against Kids Cancer,” a three-month event culminated by a live jersey auction that raised almost $20,000 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Caps For Kids, a national non-profit organization which provides hats autographed by athletes and celebrities to children who lose their hair due to the effects of chemotherapy.

The RoadRunners are the ECHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
