Rowe named CCM ECHL Player of the Month


Andrew Rowe of the Greenville Road Warriors is the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for February.


The 26-year-old scored nine goals, added nine assists and was a +7 in 11 games in February, helping the Road Warriors to an 8-2-1 record during the month.


A native of Muskegon, Mich., Rowe tallied at least one point in 10 of 11 games, and ended the month on a nine-game scoring streak. He had four points (3g-1a) in a 6-2 win against Reading on Feb. 23, had three points (1g-2a) in a 4-3 victory over South Carolina on Feb. 9 and had three two-point games over the course of the month.


Under contract to Hartford of the American Hockey League, Rowe leads the Road Warriors with 21 goals and 51 points. He is tied for seventh in the league in points and he is fourth in plus-minus at +26. He has added three points (2g-1a) in seven games with Hartford.


Rowe has 131 points (56g-75a) in 126 career regular-season games with Greenville and Elmira and he has added 14 points (7g-7a) in 17 games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. In addition, Rowe has notched 27 points (17g-10a) in 101 career American Hockey League games with Hartford, Norfolk and Adirondack.
