READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that defenseman Beau Geisler and All-Star forward Jeff Miles have been assigned from Manchester of the American Hockey League and that the team has signed defenseman Tom Harrison. Reading is the ECHL affiliate of Manchester of the AHL and Los Angeles of the National Hockey League.
In his first professional season, Geisler had two points (1g-1a) and two penalty minutes in nine games with Manchester and he has scored 17 points (4g-13a) in 45 games with the Royals.
Selected in the ninth round (268th overall) by Chicago in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and in his first full professional season, Miles scored five points (4g-1a) in 20 games with Manchester. Called up following the ECHL All-Star Game, Miles has 33 points (17g-16a) in 34 games for Reading and ranks among the top five in ECHL rookies in plus-minus rating (+16).
