Royals Charities Raises Over $82,000

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals and the team’s charitable organization, Royals Charities, announced that the organization raised and donated more than $82,000 in funds, tickets, merchandise and memorabilia to local and national non-profit organizations in 2006-07.

Royals Charities launched the “Season of Giving” program which provided an opportunity for less fortunate fans to attend a Royals game during the holiday season.

The team held its Second-Annual Battle of the Badges charity hockey game presented by the U.S. Army which raises funds for the Battle of the Badges Scholarship Fund established to benefit the children of firefighters and police officers. Medalist Performance Apparel sponsored the Reading Police Department team while FirstStates Financial Services sponsored the Reading Fire Department squad.

The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.
