Royals’ Kemp Loaned To Manchester

READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that defenseman T.J. Kemp has been loaned to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Monarchs of the AHL and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.

As a rookie in 2005-06, Kemp finished second among Royals defensemen with 40 points (13g-27a) in 60 games while also being chosen for the ECHL All-Rookie Team and representing Reading at the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game. The 25-year-old also appeared in 14 games with Peoria, Iowa, Milwaukee and Bridgeport of the American Hockey League in 2005-06.

The native of Pickering, Ontario spent four seasons at Mercyhurst College where he accumulated 100 points (32g-68a) in 133 games from 2001-05.
