PRINCETON, N.J. – Mike Pandolfo of the Reading Royals is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for October 21-23.
In his first ECHL season, Pandolfo scored two goals, including the game winner, and was a +2 in a 3-2 win at Johnstown on its season opener. The 26-year-old scored the first Reading goal of the season on the power play to tie the game in the second period and scored the game-winning goal with the Royals shorthanded in the third period.
Selected in the third round (77th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1998 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Pandolfo played three games with Columbus of the NHL in 2003-04. The 6-foot-3 and 226-pound forward has spent the last three seasons with Syracuse of the American Hockey League where he scored 16 points (8g-8a) and had 18 penalty minutes in 62 games in 2004-05.
