READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that they have signed left wing Larry Courville. The Royals also announced that Manchester of the American Hockey League has recalled right wing George Parros and loaned right wing Dan Welch to the Royals. Reading is the ECHL affiliate of Manchester.
In 2003-04 with Johnstown of the ECHL, the 6-1 and 180-pound Courville scored 32 points (12g-20a) in 38 regular season games and also played one game in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Selected in the eighth round (245th overall) by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Welch has one assist in two games with Manchester. In 2003-04 with Manchester, the 5-11 and 193-pound Welch scored 12 points (6g-6a) in 31 regular season games and also played one game in the postseason.
