Royals sign forward Kevin Sundher

Reading, Pa. – The Reading Royals, ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL, announced that the team has signed forward Kevin Sundher for the 2015-16 season.

Last season, Sundher split his season between the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League and the Elmira Jackals. In 31 games with the Americans, Sundher registered five points (1g-4a) and 12 penalty minutes. He added four points (1g-3a) in nine games with Elmira. Sundher, who will be entering his fourth year of pro hockey, has tallied 38 points (11g-27a) in 129 career AHL games with Rochester.

Prior to turning pro, Sundher racked up 252 points (94g-158a) in 273 total games over four-plus seasons in the Western Hockey League. In his final year of major junior, Sundher stormed out of the gates to rack up 64 points (22g-42a) in 40 games for the Victoria Royals. A native of Surrey, British Columbia, Sundher was selected in the thir round (75th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
