READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that they have signed rookie forwards Michael Cohen and Ross McCain and rookie goaltender Curtis Darling and that Albany of the American Hockey League has returned forward Malcolm MacMillan to Reading and that defenseman Rob LaLonde has been returned to the team from Binghamton of the AHL.
The Royals also announced that defenseman Bryan Schmidt has been recalled to the AHL by Manchester.
Reading is the ECHL affiliate of Manchester of the AHL and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.
The 21-year-old Cohen just completed his senior season at Canisius College where he had 21 points (10g-11a) in 35 games after leading the team in scoring each of his first three seasons with 100 points (42g-58a) in 134 games.
The 25-year-old McCain began the season in the Central Hockey League where he had 23 points (6g-17a) and 47 penalty minutes in 48 games with Lubbock and Oklahoma City.
