Rutt returns to Steelheads for first full season

Boise, Idaho – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced that defenseman Jake Rutt has agreed to terms with the Idaho Steelheads for the 2015-16 season.

The 24-year-old Rutt turned pro late last season, joining the Steelheads for the stretch run and postseason after wrapping up his college career at the University of Maine, where he served as the alternate captain for the Black Bears during his senior season. The blue-liner found his feet as a professional quickly, posting an impressive +15 plus/minus rating in the 15 total games he played with Idaho.

A native of Scarborough, Maine, Rutt recorded 32 points (9g-23a) in 120 career games at Maine.
