Salmon Kings Acquire Victoria Native Stutzel From Idaho

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that they have acquired Victoria native Mike Stutzel from the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for financial considerations.

The Salmon Kings are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

The 27-year-old had 45 points (11g-34a) and 100 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Steelheads in 2005-06 before leaving the team in January to play in Finland where he had four points (3g-1a) and eight penalty minutes in 13 regular season games and one assist and eight penalty minutes in eight playoff games for Tappara.
