Salmon Kings, Martin Agree To Terms

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that they have agreed to terms with right wing Louis-Philippe Martin.

The Salmon Kings are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the ninth round (266th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old played in the United Hockey League as a rookie in 2005-06 where he had 46 points (18g-28a) and 38 penalty minutes in 43 games with Roanoke Valley and 26 points (7g-19a) and 44 penalty minutes in 26 games with Flint.

He played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he had 282 points (119g-163a) and 270 penalty minutes in 255 regular season games and 28 points (13g-15a) and 22 penalty minutes in 26 playoff games with Baie-Comeau and Drummondville from 2001-05.
