VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that they have formed partnerships with the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association and BC Hockey to conduct 50/50 fundraising events at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
The Salmon Kings are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
The VIAHA supports 7,000 athletes and 350 teams with a volunteer base of more than 20,000 members, providing public programs to allow minor-aged hockey players to develop their skills.
“The game of hockey is much more than just a game,” said Randy James, Executive Director of the VIAHA. “It provides many unique learning and lifestyle opportunities, and gives youth a chance to express themselves through sport, as well as build friendships and enhance their emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.”
