Salmon Kings Raise Over $5,500
For Youth Hockey Player

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that they teamed with The Bottle Depot and Victoria Minor Hockey to raise more than $5,500 for Jack, a five-year-old hockey player in the Greater Victoria area recently diagnosed with Leukemia.

The Salmon Kings are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

Fans donated more than $1,800 through a bottle drive at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre on Mar. 21, an amount that was matched by Bottle Depot owner D’arcy Hipwell.
