VICTORIA, B.C. – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced the signing of forward Chris Corrinet. In his first game on Wednesday, the 26-year-old Corrinet scored a shorthand goal in the Salmon Kings 3-1 loss to Long Beach.
Selected in the fourth round (107th overall) by Washington in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-3 and 218-pound Corrinet played eight games in the National Hockey League with the Capitals in 2001-02, registering one assist and six penalty minutes.
He has played each of the past four seasons in the American Hockey League, scoring 55 points (21g-34a) in 119 regular season games and three points (1g-2a) in five playoff games.
