Salmon Kings Sign Mangos, MacInnis

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that they have signed defensemen Simon Mangos (pictured) and Aaron MacInnis.

The Salmon Kings acquired the rights to Mangos and MacInnis from the Texas Wildcatters in exchange for the rights to center Ryan Finnerty.

In his second professional season in 2004-05, the 24-year-old MacInnis had 14 points (1g-13a) in 71 games with Texas in 2004-05. In his rookie season in 2003-04, MacInnis had three points (1g-2a) in 22 games with Cincinnati and 10 points (2g-8a) in 30 games with Texas.

In his first professional season in 2004-05, the 25-year Mangos had 20 points (7g-13a) in 52 games with Fresno and 10 points (1g-9a) in 10 games with Texas. In four seasons at Ferris State University, Mangos scored 57 points in 153 games, including a career-high 22 points (11g-11a) as a junior in 2002-03.
