BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced that they have reached an affiliation agreement with the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.
“We’re excited to be able to have this agreement with Philadelphia,” said Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. “I think it’s very important to be associated with an NHL system. As an organization, we’re excited to help develop players for the Phantoms and the Flyers. I’m very optimistic about the players that will be assigned here, and the Flyers will be looking at our players for recall to Philadelphia as well.”
“We are pleased to have the Mississippi Sea Wolves as our ECHL affiliate,” said Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren. “The Sea Wolves have a long-standing success in the ECHL and we are excited to have our prospects develop in this environment.”
