BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced that the Third Annual Face-Off Against Kids’ Cancer event raised $35,195 for Candlelighters For Childhood Cancer of the Gulf Coast and the Courtney Boynton Foundation.
Sponsored by Beau Rivage, Crescent Trucks of New Orleans, Mississippi Power, More Graphics of Slidell, Pepsi Bottling Company and RPM Pizza (Dominos), the proceeds were generated from the sale of commemorative T-shirts, a silent auction and a jersey auction.
“The money that was raised will benefit two very worthwhile charities on the Gulf Coast and a number of very special children,” said Mississippi director of community relations Albert Branca. “These children have inspired the team who were their partners in events throughout the year. The friendships formed will last a lifetime and we look forward to next year’s event.”
