Sixth-year defenseman Hill joins Admirals

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced that the club has agreed to terms with defenseman Jordan Hill for the 2015-16 season.

The Admirals are the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League.

Hill, 26, spent the previous three seasons in the American Hockey League with St. John’s and Bridgeport, making 137 appearances as well as 18 in the playoffs for the IceCaps in 2013-14. In all, the Sarnia, Ontario native brings 197 games of AHL experience to the Admirals, the most of any player currently on the Admirals’ roster. He has tallied 33 points (8g-25a) in the AHL for St. John’s, Bridgeport, Manchester and Manitoba. In 34 career ECHL contests, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound stay-at-home defenseman has tallied 10 points (3g-7a) for the Ontario Reign. The 2015-16 campaign will be Hill’s sixth as a professional.
