Smyth returning to Cyclones

Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Matt Smyth for the 2013-14 season.

Smyth, an Orlando, Fla. native, notched 15 points (9g-6a) in 24 games with the Cyclones during the 2012-13 campaign. He also appeared in three contests with the Orlando Solar Bears and collected an assist.

Smyth played his junior hockey in the OHL, OPHJL, and OJHL – where he amassed 267 points (120g-147a) in 261 games over a five-year span.
