ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Through the first two periods of Game 1 of the Kelly Cup finals, Maxime Lacroix was having a forgettable night.

But Lacroix rebounded with a third period he’ll probably always remember.

Lacroix scored two goals in 13 seconds in the third period and Jeff Corey added two goals to lead South Carolina past Alaska, 4-2, Friday night in Game 1 of the Kelly Cup finals before a crowd of 6,842 at Sullivan Arena.

The Stingrays, who won for the seventh straight time in the playoffs and the fourth consecutive time on the road, take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series heading into Game 2 on Saturday at Sullivan Arena.
