Springfield Assigns Farynuk To Thunder

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that defenseman Brad Farynuk has been assigned from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

The Thunder is the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons of the AHL and the Edmonton Oilers of the National HockeyLeague.

The 25 year old, who signed an AHL contract with Springfield during the summer, had 23 points (4g-19a) and 54 penalty minutes in 47 regular season games as a rookie with Dayton in 2006-07 and helped the Bombers win the American Conference championship with 16 points (2g-14a) in 22 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

He also played in the AHL in 2006-07 where he had one assist and eight penalty minutes in 16 games for Syracuse.
