St. John’s Calls Up Pensacola’s Ford

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that goaltender Todd Ford has been called up to St. John’s of the American Hockey League. Pensacola is the ECHL affiliate of St. John’s of the AHL and Toronto of the National Hockey League.

Under contract to Toronto, Ford was 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.50 and a save percentage of .945 in two games for Pensacola and on Tuesday he was named as a runner-up for the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week.

In his first professional game on November 2, Ford made 30 saves in a 5-0 win at Mississippi and had 22 saves in a 4-3 win against Augusta on November 7.
