Steelheads Acquire Rookie Williams From Las Vegas

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that they acquired rookie forward Justin Williams from the Las Vegas Wranglers in exchange for future considerations.

The 25-year-old played his first game for Idaho on Wednesday and had an assist on the game-winning goal in a 4-0 win at Victoria.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.

The 6-foot and 180-pound Williams played four years at the University of Minnesota Duluth where he had 69 points (25g-44a) and 147 penalty minutes in 127 games.
