Stingrays agree to terms with Ellis

North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays agreed to terms with defenseman Brendan Ellis, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced.

Ellis, 26, missed the 2014-15 season due to injury, but was active with the team off the ice and in the Charleston community. The Kelowna, British Columbia native dressed in eight games with the Stingrays at the end of the 2013-14 campaign, earning five assists, after completing a four-year career at Merrimack College. With Merrimack, Ellis totaled 58 points (7g-51a) in 133 games and served as an alternate captain during the 2012-13 season.
