Stingrays’ Courtenay, Jickling Announce Retirement

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that right wing Ed Courtenay (pictured) and center Mike Jickling have retired.

Retiring after 17 professional seasons, Courtenay played three seasons for the Stingrays and ranks fourth on the career list with 107 goals and 235 points. Courtenay set the team season records for most goals (54) and points (110) in 1996-97.

Jickling played the last three seasons for South Carolina, scoring 116 points (39g-77a) in 172 regular season games.
