Stingrays, Gaul agree to terms

North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays re-signed forward Patrick Gaul, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced.

The Pittsburgh, Pa. native registered 26 points (10g-16a) in 61 regular-season games last season, added 11 points (5g-6a) in 27 Kelly Cup Playoff contests, helped the Stingrays reach the Kelly Cup Finals for the fourth time in team history -tying an ECHL record – and earned the 2014-15 Jerry Zucker Community Service Award for his dedication to the Charleston community.

A member of the Stingrays for the last two-and-a-half seasons, Gaul has totaled 67 points (28g-39a) in 161 career games and earned a career-high 31 points (12g-19a) in 2013-14. Prior to turning pro, the 5-foot-8, 175-pound forward attended Notre Dame for four seasons picking up 10 points (3g-7a) in 80 games and helped the Fighting Irish capture a CCHA Championship in 2008-09.
