Stingrays Re-Sign Busenburg, Kiser

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that they have re-signed defenseman Marc Busenburg and Nate Kiser (pictured).

The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

The 29-year-old Busenburg had 20 points (5g-15a) in 35 games for South Carolina in 2006-07 while also playing in the AHL where he had three points (0g-3a) in 27 games for Hershey.

Selected in the fifth round (160th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Kiser led South Carolina in 2006-07 with a plus-minus rating of +14 and 222 penalty minutes while recording career highs with 15 assists and 20 points in 64 games.
