Stingrays re-sign defenseman Tabisz

North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that the team has re-signed defenseman Nick Tabisz.   


The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Tabisz, 24, appeared in three games with the Stingrays last season scoring two points (1g-1a) after completing a four-year career at St. Norbert College. While with the Green Knights, the Kettering, Ohio, native registered 37 goals and 61 assists for 98 points in 118 games and is the only player in school history to be named to the first-team All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association in each of his four seasons.

On March 26, 2011, Tabisz netted the game-winning goal against Adrian in the NCAA Division III Men’s Hockey national title game in Minneapolis, Minn. In July 2011, the 5-foot-11, 178-pound defenseman attended the Washington Capitals Rookie Development Camp in Arlington, Virginia.
