STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that “Thunder Goes Pink II” presented by St. Joseph’s Medical Center in association with County Bank will be held Nov. 2-3.
Stockton is the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to promote breast cancer awareness and the first 2,000 female fans entering Stockton Arena each night will receive a pink Thunder baseball cap.
The inaugural “Thunder Goes Pink” raised more than $37,000 for the St. Joseph’s Foundation Mobile Mammography Unit and the American Cancer Society – Stockton Field Office as well as raising breast cancer awareness with special pink giveaways, pink lighting on the concourse and painting the ice surface pink.
Stockton players will wear specially-designed jerseys that will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the charities and there will also be a commemorative T-shirt available with five dollars from each T-shirt being donated.
