DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that forward Colin Stuart has been assigned to the team from Chicago of the American Hockey League. Gwinnett is the AHL affiliate of Chicago and the NHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers. Stuart is expected to be available on Friday when Gwinnett hosts South Carolina.
Selected in the fifth round (135th overall) by Atlanta in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to Atlanta, Stuart is in his first professional season. The 22-year-old Stuart has two assists and six penalty minutes in 17 games with Chicago.
