LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – The Gulf Coast Swords have sold more than 1,300 of the 7,400 seats planned for the $70 million arena under construction in Lakewood Ranch, and Larry Kish says the team seems to sell more tickets every day.
DVA Sports owner Sal Diaz-Verson said that discussions for the arena naming rights are entering the final stage and that some major announcements could be made in January.
After falling being because of hurricanes during the summer, the project is almost back on schedule and Diaz-Verson said that the arena walls will be erected in the near future.
“The reception has been tremendous,” Diaz-Verson told the Bradenton Herald. “We’re selling tickets, we’re selling suites, we’re selling everything and we haven’t done one bit of advertising for it. People just want to participate.”Information, including ticket information, on the newest ECHL team is available online at DVASports.com.
