Tanski returns for fourth season with Solar Bears

Orlando, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Scott Tanski.

Tanski leads all Solar Bears in the ECHL era with 149 regular season games played. He is fourth in goals (27) and points (59), and is seventh in assists (32) and penalty minutes (104). Tanski notched the game-winning goal in the first ever Solar Bears’ playoff win, a 2-0 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones on April 25, 2014. Tanski’s professional experience also includes 67 games for the Connecticut Whale in 2011-12, where he recorded 11 points (5g-6a).

Prior to starting his professional career, the Athabasca, Alberta native played four seasons (2007-11) for the Brampton Battalion in the Ontario Hockey League. Tanski notched 133 points (53g-80a) in 219 games with Brampton, including leading the team in assists (29) and points (47) during the 2010-11 campaign.
