TAMPA, Fla. – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush on Tuesday announced that the naming rights for TECO Arena have been purchased by Germain Motor Company and that the arena will now be called Germain Arena. Germain Motor Company has several locations in Florida, including Naples and Sarasota, as well as dealerships in Ohio where in 2003 it purchased the naming rights to the Germain Amphitheater in Columbus.
“It’s a beautiful facility with great visibility and we will be proud to have our name on it,” said Bob Germain of Germain Auto Company of TECO Arena. “We’re extremely excited about helping to promote the arena and the events that take place there.”
TECO Energy’s Peoples Gas unit purchased the arena naming rights in 1999 and TECO Arena was utilized as a marketing tool to introduce the Peoples Gas and TECO Energy brand to Southwest Florida.
“We have a very positive relationship with TECO Energy,” said Brush. “Now, with Germain, we will continue providing sports, leisure and other enjoyable activities as Southwest Florida’s premier entertainment venue.”
