Theo Peckham returns to Wichita

Wichita, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder announced that the team has signed defenseman Theo Peckham to a contract for the 2015-16 season.

Peckham enters his ninth year as a pro and second stint in Wichita. A native of Richmond Hill, Peckham appeared in 26 games last year for the Thunder before finishing the season in Europe.

A third-round selection (75th overall) of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Peckham has racked up 969 penalty minutes and 73 points (18g-55a) over his career. The 27-yearold has appeared in 160 NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers while also making stops with the Oklahoma City Barons, Rockford IceHogs and Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
