Thunder agree to terms with Shattock

Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that the team has signed Tyler Shattock for the 2014-15 season.

The Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

Shattock, 24, was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round (108th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent the previous four seasons as a part of the Blues’ organization, posting 62 points (20g-42a) in 255 American Hockey League games with Peoria and Chicago, while adding five points (3g-2a) in three ECHL games with Evansville during the 2012-13 season.

The Salmon Arm, British Columbia native began his standout junior hockey career in 2005 after being drafted by the Kamloops Blazers sixth overall in the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft. Shattock tallied 187 points (76g-111a) in 248 career games in the WHL with Kamloops and Calgary.
