STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that Nov. 3-4 will be the inaugural Thunder Goes Pink Weekend with one dollar from every ticket sold being donated to promote breast cancer awareness.
Stockton is the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.
Thunder Goes Pink is presented by St. Joseph’s Medical Center in association with Pacific Car Wash and Golden Bear Insurance.
The donations will be made to the St. Joseph’s Foundation Mobile Mammography Unit and the American Cancer Society – Stockton Field Office.
Stockton players will wear specially-designed warm-up jerseys that will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the charities and there will also be a commemorative T-shirt available with five dollars from each T-shirt being donated.
